The learning toys are often digital now and I definitely think we should, in part, be thinking along those lines.

But not exclusively.

We must ensure that our children become well rounded and are not only left with toys where they are staring at a screen for what is called play. This is why I love things like the Little Tikes climbers that get children really interacting with each other and just as importantly, playing outdoors. We should do all we can to encourage outdoor play.

Our society has definitely lost the way a little with the over-hyped dangers of allowing our children to play out of doors. Of course we should keep an eye on young children and of course we should be concerned for their safety but we must remember that the outside world is not as dangerous as many newspapers would have us believe. Lets get our children out of doors and enjoying the fresh air.

As just mentioned I love the Little Tikes range of outdoor toys although lots of them are more like fully interactive play centres. What you will be surprised at is just how cheap these are. Looking around trying to find the lowest prices I am quite shocked how cheaply we can buy outdoor climbing frames and the like for our children and there friends to play on.

They are certainly a great way to get the children playing with others and the ones with slides and dens and tunnels are great way s to get them stimulating their imaginations. Children love to play make believe and for young children this is a very important part of stimulating their brains and getting them interacting.

What I have come across in my research is the massive surge in popularity of the trampoline. Lots of people seem to be writing about them lately and taking a closer look I can see that sales from many of the top toys stores for kids are beginning to see a real surge in popularity of them. It is certainly a fantastic way to get our kids nice and fit and healthy and playing in the fresh air.

The importance of playing outdoors cannot be over-emphasized in my opinion. There are lots of cheap outdoor kids toys and we are only limited by what we feel our kids will enjoy most. Cheap trucks for boys are popular and of course girls still love small dolls prams that they can push around with a favorite doll inside. All great for outdoor play in my opinion.
